There are many palaces in bahawalpur. Noor mehal is one of them. it was built in 1872 in Italian style.Nawab Sadiq Muhammad khan IV had made this beautiful palace for his wife. it is said that she spent only one night in the palace because there is a very big graveyard of Malook shah as she saw that graveyard she decided not to live in this amazing palace and next day she went to another palace.This palace has two-storey. The furniture of the place is very beautiful. some informative clipboard are places on the walls inside the palace through these clipboards any one can easily understand the history of bahawalpur and living of Nawab.
In these days this palace is under the control of Pakistan army.It is also used as the state guest house of BWP. Some time this palace is used by the Nawab of Bahawalpur. he address to his people here and listen the troubles of this people and he tried to finish the problems of his state's people. He had fixed a day in a week. on the fix day this place is used as state court. Nawab sahab listen the audience and solve the problems. Nawab sahab was a great man he always do justice to every one at any cost.
There are some other beautiful and amazing palaces of Bahawalpur are Gulzar mehal, Darbar mehal , Dubai mehal. these palaces are also under the control of army. if anyone visit bahawalpur then he must see these palaces.
